Laurel Williamson, a native Tulsan, started singing and performing as a young child. Musical theatre productions and multiple choirs eventually led to a vocal music scholarship to TU where she received classical training. Laurel fell in love with jazz a few years ago and has never looked back. In addition to singing with SoundzGood, she performs regularly in the Tulsa community as a soloist, and her rendition of Come Rain or Come Shine was selected to be on a nationwide compilation CD. Other recent productions include Ring-A-Ding-Ding: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra, Sophisticated Ladies, Karaoke: The Brand New Unoriginal Musical and Santa's Got a Brand New Bag. She also writes original folk and blues, and appeared in an independent film that released last fall.
