Born 1981, in New York City, Edwin is currently residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Edwin Garcia began performing in the greater Tulsa area in 1998 at the age of 17. After high school, he attended the University of Tulsa and has performed on tour for various occasions. Here is a list of information about Edwin’s performances and applied studies.

Mezclave Latin Jazz was nominated at the Spot Music Awards in the Jazz category for 2001 and 2002.
Private studies: Classical bassist and music librarian for the Tulsa Opera, Marc Facci. Edwin Garcia has also studied privately with various professional New York recording artists that include John Pattitucci (www.johnpattitucci.com), and Drummer Matt Wilson.
Attended: Mile High Jazz Camp (University of Colorado)
Interplay Jazz Camp (Endicott College Massachusetts) and is currently student interning along with bassist David Clark from Berkley Conservatory of Music in Boston, Mass. 2005 Interplay Jazz Internship with David Clark.
Current Projects: Edwin Garcia is currently working in several different groups including several style and genres of music, which include periods of Jazz from 1940-1970, Hip-Hop, Funk, Reggae, Latin American/ Salsa and Drum ’n Bass.
